Meet the NEW Education Coordinators and New Instructors to the WRP Education Staff

Kyle Burnett

Kyle Burnett is an Cleveland-based actor who graduated last year from Kent State University with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre. You may recognize Kyle from the Western Reserve Playhouse stage for his performance as “Eddie Birdlace” in Dogfight. He has performed all over Northeast Ohio at Beck Center for the Arts, Blank Canvas Theatre, Lakeland Civic Theatre, Mercury Theatre Company, EJ Thomas Hall, and at many more theaters and companies. While at Kent, he had the chance to direct three staged readings, as well as Lin-Manuel Miranda’s “21 Chump Street”, as part of the Student Theatre Festival. As a visual, hands-on pupil, Kyle hopes to bring the same energy and engaging quality from his training to students of all skill levels. Favorite subjects include: repertoire building, puppetry, and acting through song. He’s thrilled to be joining the WRP education team and he can’t wait to work with you soon!


Kayla Lehman

Kayla Lehman is an actor and choreographer in Northeast, Ohio. She graduated from the University of Mount Union in December 2017, with degrees in Theatre and Public Relations. Recently, Kayla has been seen on the WRP stage in Dogfight as an ensemble member. Favorite past roles include Audrey (Little Shop of Horrors), Silly Girl (Beauty and the Beast), and Anna (the Amish Project). From an education standpoint, Kayla has always been an eager learner. She is excited to bring engaging classes to WRP that are inclusive to all. Her special interests include acting, dance, vocal performance, and stage makeup. Kayla is so excited to get started and meet new students!
